A moth er of three children, Mrs. Crook patrols a school section. Note it said President Eisen hower is a good dancer. Is that news? All West Pointers are good dancers. Dancing instruc tion is part of the curriculum of the United States Military Acad emy. Should be included in the curriculum of all high schools. If more husbands were good dancers, it would increase the number of contented wives and also be a factor in a decrease in the divorce rate. Husbands and wives who dance well together are rarely divorced. Sharing Only one man in seven shaves every day. So the statisticians continue to claim. I shave every day. At times, twice a day. How about you, sir? Do you know who was the first man to shave every day? The Roman author, Pliny the elder, wrote, "The first barbers that entered Italy came out of Sicily 454 years after the foundation of Rome. They shav ed but did not cut hair. The first man to be shaved every day was Scipio'Africanus." (Note Scipio Africanus 237-183 BC was re garded as Rome's greatest gen eral up to the time of Julius Caesar.) Asking Queries from clients. Bee Palmer in troduced the shimmy to the Great White Way. Inspiration V A writer of popular songs never knows when, where and how he may get an idea for a song. The inspiration usually comes unexpectedly. For exam ple, Harry Von Tilzer was at a night spot when one of the femi nine entertainers who was in a very gay mood sat on his lap, ran her fingers through his hair and said, "Harry, I'd leave my happy home for you." Harry jumped up excitedly, causing the girl on his lap to drop to the floor, and rushed over to his of fice. There he sat down and in a brief period wrote that great song hit titled "I'd Leave My Happy Home for You." Mayor Abe Aronovitz told the subcommittee headed by Sen. Robert C. Hendrickson (R-NJ) at a one-day hearing yesterday that the federal government should help local governments "battle the problem." Noting that the government spends billions for defense or for other domestic projects, Ar onovitz said, "something is wrong somewhere if we can't find one little billion dollars to take care of our own childDen." Chairman Daniel P. Sullivan of the Greater Miami Crime commission told the committee that no other "one phase" x)f the nation's criminal problem poses as great a threat as homosexu ality does. Although authorities have cracked down in this tourist city, Sullivan said, the number of perverts, recently estimated at 8000, is still rising in Miami.
