Tho city was in a holiday mood, and thous-! ands of people were down town to see j the parade and to shop afterwards. Seventeen entries In four parade . divisions were judged, and prize-win- ! ners were announced Thursday. One of j - the prize-winning parade entries was ; , that of Crater Lady Lions (upper left) which had a. Biblical theme. Suzanne Edwards portrayed the Virgin Mary, and Brian Shoop portrayed Joseph (in striped robe). Shepherds were Eric Heisel (at . left) and Gary Ingram. The entry of the youth group of , Roxy Ann Grange (center, at left) de picting three angels and a family group, ;. won second place in the Biblical theme, youth groups. Donna Lue Pfinister, . Venetta Moeller and Coralee Dalton por trayed -the angels, Henry Moeller was the father, Muriel Shaw, the mother and Clifford Dalton and Paulette Simmons, the children. . . A float named "The Littlest Angel" (at left, below) and entered by Lady Ac tivians was judged second place winner in the adult group, Biblical theme. Steven Davis portrayed the 'angel. Second-place winner in the adult groups, fairyland division, was won by Medford Public library with the float pictured at top, center. Miss Maccine Titus of the library staff perched atop of a tiny car reading "A Christmas Carol" was the main figure of the entry, while Mrs. Thayer Tarvin (at the wheel) j' and Mrs. Shirley Darby rode in the car Southwest Medford Four-H club's float (center) was a prize-winner in the youth groups, fairyland theme division. The float, bearing a Christmas tree and a large number of club members, car ried a sign which read "Peace on earth depends on our good will toward men." Loyal Order of Moose and Women Of the Moose entered a float which (cen ter, below) won first place in the adult group, fairyland theme. The float por trayed several small children in a fire place scene with Santa Claus poised on the roof by the chimney. Pictured (left to right) are Lora Lee Mills, Dennis Mills, . Tonya Keener, Larry Mills, Linda Gearin, Dick Mills and Ellen Gearin. Ray Jenkins is Santa Claus. . A group of Medford Jun?or High school girls rode on the YMCA float, singing Christmas carols. They also helped to construct the float, and sev eral girls are shown (below right) work ing Wednesday afternoon. On the float (left to right) are Vicky Palmer, .Colleen Barr, Caron Leffler, Kathleen Donahue, JoAnn Jamison and Carlyne Tompkins.
