The Rev. Charles J. Scott read the cere mony preceding the celebration of nuptial low mass, Larry Schaecher and Paul Smith served at the altar for the mass, and Bruno Pellegrini was at the organ. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. John W. Kirby, Kings' highway, and of Clinton Goodman, Port land. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Croucher, Medford. Escorted to the altar by her . father, the bride wore a gown imported Chantilly lace over Skinner's satin designed with cathedral train. Her French illu- -. gion veil fell from a Juliet cap of satin and lace borrowed from her cousin, Mrs. Glenn Pattee. ; On her white prayer book she carried a handmade lace hand- l kerchief, a gift of her maternal grandmother, and two white or- chids, a gift from her paternal grandmother. .... They wore bouf fant frocks of white and copper L nylon and carried baskets of petals. ; Hal Krueger was best man and ushers were Lloyd Dyer, Allen Hurt and William Walton. For the wedding and reception the bride's mother wore a gown of imported Chantilly lace over copper net with dark brown ac cessories and carried a fall of brown cymbidium orchids. The bridegroom's mother wore a gown of fuchsia iridescent crys talline with black accessories and her flowers were gold color ed cymbidium orchids. The wedding breakfast which followed was' at the Kirby home and was attended by more than 100 guests. Pouring and serving were Mrs; William E. Driscoll, Mrs. Robert Browne, Mrs. Ernest Hood Jr., Miss Judith Gilbert, Medford, and Mrs. Alonzo Hodg es and Mrs. Floyd Whitlatch of Merrill. Mrs. Otto Ellis, Klamath Falls, presided at the guest book. NOW , IV M UN Chapter To Organize Anyone interested in a Med ford chapter of the Oregon United-Nations association is in vited to attend a meeting Thurs day, December 2, at 8 p.m. in the YMCA. H. P. Bosworth Jr., who was named acting chairman at an informal meeting which followed a lecture here recently by Dr. Karlin M. Capper-Johnson, president of the Oregon association, has called a Thurs day meeting. : Mr. Bosworth points out that it is the purpose of the United Nations association to dissem inate knowledge concerning the operation of UN, to encourage study and to prepare to take a definite stand on many of the world problems which are un der consideration. This may be done through local discussion or through letters to UN dele gates, he states in a letter to in terested persons. There are similar: organiza tions in most of the states of the union, and several cities in Ore gon already have a chapter or are in the process of organization, Dr. Capper-Johnson stated while in Medford. Reunion Dinner Held by Family One of the largest family din ners held in Medford Thanksgiv ing day was that in'the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Atterbury. 1002 West Eleventh street. Forty-six relatives attended the event. ' Relatives of Mr. Atterbury who attended were his father, Jess Atterbury, his uncle, Kit Atterbury, and bis four brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Atterbury and family, Mr. and Ms. Keith Atterbury and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Atterbury and family and Mr. and Mrs, Lowell Atter bury and family, all of whom re side in Roseburg or that area; Mr. Atterbury's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Andrus, Seattle, and their daughter, Sylvia Jo Andrus, who is attending school in Oakland, Calif., and another brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. H. Doyle and family, Roseburg. Members of Mrs: Atterbury's family present were her mother, Mrs. Mary E. Pickens, Roseburg, and her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pick ens, Medford. The Atterbury's children who were present in cluded Mr. and Mrs. Richard At terbury, Corvallis; Mrs. Donald Schneide, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Christlieb and Mary Ellen At terbury. Following dinner motion pic tures of the weddings of the Atterbury's three older chil dren were shown, and also pic tures taken at the last family reunion. The bridegroom's parents' are Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Laferriere, Hammond, Ore. The ceremony was read at 9 o'clock in the morning at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic church. The Rev. Robert S. Neugebauer performed the rites. The Star of the' Sea high school girls choir sang. ; The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a dress of French lace and nylon net over taffeta. It was designed with a matching lace bolero and the skirt was trimmed with insets of embroidered lace points, Her veil of nvlon and lace hung from a headpeace outlined with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white rosebuds. I Miss Patricia Sutkowski was maid of honor, and Miss Louise Brenner, Seattle, and Miss Irene Laferriere, a sister of the bride groom, were bridesmaids. They wore - matching ballerina, type dresses of crystalline. Miss Sut kowski's gown was in a coral shade and the others were Dior blue. They carried nosegays of talisman rosebuds. , Miss Donna1 Rummell, a daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Rummell, Youngs River, was flower girl. Her dress was of coral color and matched those of the bride's at tendants. She carried a bouquet of talisman bud roses. -' Guy Laferriere was best man. The ushers were Donald Rum mell and Jacques Laferriere. A reception was held at the home of the young couple at route 1, box 569, Clatsop Plains. Mrs. Larry Morris poured the punch. Mrs. Jack Rim and Mrs. Ralph Butzina, both of Medford assisted. The bride's cake was cut by the mother of the bride and the mother of the bridegroom cut the bridegroom's cake. The bride's table was dec orated with tapers, white chry santhemums and alyssum. The rooms were decorated with rust apd yeljow chrysanthemums. In charge of the gifts was Miss Irene 'Ls'csrierre and Mrs. Rim registered the guests. Mrs. But zina assisted about the rooms. For the occasion the bride's mother wore a blue orlon taf feta afternoon dress with red ac cessories and a red carnation corsage.The bridegroom's moth er was dressed in a forest green taffeta dress trimmed in black and her corsage was of white carnations. - The couple made their wed ding trip to Victoria, B. C.,' and southern Oregon. Out-of-town guest- included Mr. and Mrs. Floyd January, and Mrs. Butzina and Mrs. Rim, from Medford, and Mrs. Mildred Mc Mahon, and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Smith from Talent. Portland Family Here for Holidays Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Childreth and daughter,. Shirlee, Portland, were here for the Thanksgiving holidays with Mr. Childreth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Childreth. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Carl , Childreth, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Irish, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Brewold and Mr. and Mrs. -W. T. Childreth, relatives of Mr. Childreth. ' The visitors are former Med ford residents and for the past 12 years he has been with the department of interior at Port land.
