But, happily, and I mean hap pily, for it was a tremendous relief when the doctor arrived, about 5 p.m., and diagnosed ap pendicitis and sent me to the hospital where he operated next morning, found a gangrenous ap pendix, dredged it, put in drain age and iSent me on my way rejoicing. Except -the extreme tension I felt before the condi tion was dignosed, there was not a moment of pain or dis comfort in the eight or nine days I was hospitalized and never any trouble afterward.
