Leslie Wadsworth spent $100 in Republican Walter Norblad's campaign for reelection to Con gress from the first Oregon district.- j Pentagon Plans 'Radio' Fleet Washington (U.R) The Army hopes to save time and money on its Pentagon auto fleet by inaugurating a radio-controlled "taxi" system. " The service was set up for a necessary convenience because of the high-ranking military and civilian personnel who often must grab their briefcases on the run upon an immediate call from the President, members of Congress or the cabinet. The cars aie assigned to the Military Dis trict of Washington Motor PooL A trial run in the use of radio dispatched cars' at Ft. Eustis, Virginia, the Army's Transporta tion Center, produced excellent results. Under the new system, a driver upon reaching a desti nation, would receive instruc tions via radio to pick up other passengers in the same vicinity for the return trip, thereby elimi nating the need of dispatching additional vehicles. According to Lt.-Col. C. V. Cbristianson, Military District of Washington Transportation Of ficer,-the use of radio equipment will greatly reduce the number of vehicles currently in use by the MDW Motor Pool and will "pajrfor itself'.' in a short time. ' : At first, the newly installed system-' will be' used by 10 ve hicles. It may later be expanded until the entire fleet of Pentagon cars is radio-equipped. Illegally Copying Secret Documents Charged To Suspect Alexandria, Va. 0J.R) The government today charged that Joseph S. Petersen Jr., former government employee indicted on espionage charges, illegally copied secret, documents which showed" that the United States had broken a Dutch government code. Petersen was dismissed from his $7700-a-year - job as a re search analyst with the hush hush National Security agency Oct. 1. He was later indicted on three counts dealing with im proper removal of super-secret agency documents.
