Travis said Friday he hoped to resume publication "within a few days." The Bureau of Internal Rev enue impounded the afternoon newspaper's plant Tuesday night for failure to pay social security and withholding taxes, Travis said. "We lost money for 26 consecu tive months, but have been op erating in the black for the past year. It was the initial cost that finally licked us." Travis said he was endeavor ing to obtain money to satisfy the bureau s claims and to re finance his publishing company. Believed Over .Hump "Mrs. Travis and I feel that we are over the hump and if it is possible to secure additional financing, we will resume pub lishing the Sun within a few days," he said. The Sun was launched- as an afternoon daily March 14, 1949. Travis said the Sun is- the only daily newspaper established and maintained in operation for more than one year in Oregon ince 1919.
