TWO MEDFORD (OREGON) Jamison-Barnum Wedding Sunday; Garden Reception The wedding of Miss Patricia Ruth Barnum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Berthold Barnum, Medford, to Russell William Jami son," son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Jamison, Salem, was held Sunday. July 27 at Sacred Heart Catholic church. The double ring ceremony performed by Father C. J. Line han at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, was attended by members of the immediate families. A reception : at " the Barnum home followed with about 200 guests present. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of nylon net and imported french lace over white taffeta fashioned with a peter pan col lar, cap sleeves, and lace mitts. A juliet . cap held her finger-tip veil, and she carried a bouquet of stephanotis centered with pink rosebuds. Mrs. Fred Wilcox, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor, and John F. Jamison Jr., brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man for the ceremony. The ma tron of honor was attired in a gown of yellow organdy and matching lace headdress. Her Evening Ceremony Weds Shirley Tuffs To Charles Keeney Miss Shirley Tuffs and Charles J. Keeney airman, sec ond class, were married in a ceremony performed by the Rev. W. A. Dawes at First Bap tist church, Medford, at 8 o'clock Saturday evening, July 19. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Tuffs, Can yonville, Ore., and the bride groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Keeney, Medford. In a setting of candelabra and baskets of pink gladiolus, the bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white dotted nylon, street-length dress and white nylon gloves. The bride carried a white Bible. Her matron of honor, Mrs. Forrest Jackson,, sister of the bride, was attired in green and white organdy and carried a bouquet of pink gladiolus. Act ing as best :: man was Arthur Graham.:...' V. Candle lighters - were t h e bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Ella Kay Keeney and niece, Miss Joan Keeney of Creswell. They wore pink, dotted swiss dresses trimmed "with white eyelet em broidery. Miss Amelia Kaufman furnished the wedding music. The reception was held at -the church following the ceremony, and then the newlyweds travel ed to San Francisco via the coast for a wedding trip. They plan to make their home at Lake Charles, Louisiana, by the middle of August. The bride groom will be stationed at the Air Force base there, and has just returned borne from a year in Korea. MAIL TRIBUNE bouquet was of abelia and yellow gladiolus. For .her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Barnum wore a silk crepe and lace dress in aqua green with cream and silver accessories. Mrs. John Jamison's gown was of dusty pink lace and crepe with white accessories. Ushers included William S. Barnum, brother of the bride, and John F. Jamison Jr. The reception, held in the gar dens at the home of the bride's parents, followed the ceremony. Mrs. Carl Shepard cut the wed ding cake assisted by the aunts of the bride, Mrs. Ben Hilton, Mrs. Frank Marsh, and Mrs. G. Roy Ringo. Serving punch were sisters of the bridegroom, Mrs. Robert Whitby and Mrs. Mary King. Mrs. William Seibert had charge of the guest book. The newlyweds are spending a brief honeymoon in California and will return early this month to make their home in Medford where Mr. Jamison is program director for radio station KMED. The bride attended the Univer sity of Oregon, and the bride groom, Oregon State college. Several out of town guests came to Medford for the wed ding. From Salem were Mr. and Mrs. John F. Jamison Sr., John F. Jamison Jr., Mrs. Mary King and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Whitby and daughters. William S. Barnum travelled here from San Francisco, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marsh came from Sierra Madre, Calif. Others included Dr. and Mrs. Harry Lydiard, Port Angeles, Wash.; Mrs. Wil liam H. Seibert, Burlingame, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hilton and Mr. and Mrs. William Ran dolph and daughter, Grants Pass; Mrs. Melvin A. Matz, Eureka, Calif:; and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Melott and family, Forest Grove, Ore. : St. Mark's Rector, Wife .Home From Trip The Rev. George R. V. Bol ster, rector of St. Mark's Episco pal church, and Mrs. Bolster re turned yesterday from a three week vacation trip. They visited relatives of Mrs. Bolster at Victoria, B.C., Can ada, where the couple lived for about three years before coming to the states. While on Vancou ver island the Rev. Mr. Bolster did some deep sea fishing. They visited friends at Bell view, Wash., and at Bend, Ore., his former parish, where they lived 10 years before coming to Medford. Before their return they also went to Rocky Point on Klamath lake where the min ister did some more fishing. New Footlighters' Officers, Chairmen Will Be Announced Announcement of new Foot lighters officers and standing committee chairmen will be made at a meeting of the group Tuesday, August 5 at 8 p.m. at the fairgrounds little theater. Officers, with the exception of the president, were elected at a meeting of the board of di rectors Thursday evening. Miss Ruth Kilbourn was elected president at a special general meeting earlier in July. The business Tuesday evening also will include discussion of the next six months' activities of the group. Howard Frank lin, route 2, box 181, Central Point, was wed July 27 to Ray Woodard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ural Donnley, route 2, Medford. The rites were read by the Rev. James Davison in the Grants Pass Reorganized Church of the Latter Day Saints. The ceremony took place at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. About 65 guests attended.- Miss Glenda Thompson was maid of honor, and Don Hoag land, Bend, Ore., was best man. Ushers were Harley Davison and Willard Lion. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white suit. Her flowers were red rose buds with white carnations. Her maid of honor wore a sheer orange colored dress and her flowers were white rosebuds. The hall was decorated with white and yellow gladiolus. A reception was held at the church following the wedding. Cake and punch were served. The couple made a brief wed ding trip. They now live on Mer riman road. The bridegroom is employed by the Cascade Lum ber company. The couple attended Crater High school, Central Point. Mary K. Hicks, William G. Preston Plan Autumn Rites Mr. and Mrs. George A. The bride elect's parents announced the couple's engagement last week. No wedding date has been set Miss Martin will be a senior at Medford Senior high school this fall. The bridegroom-elect is a Medford high school gradu ate and has served two years in the Army in Korea. Church Women Sponsor Silver Tea, Program The Women's Fellowship of the First Christian church Thurs day afternoon sponsored a silver tea in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. A. H. Gregory was a member of the reception com mittee and Mrs. Arnold Bohnert gave devotions. Tea and punch were served from a table decorated with can dles and gladiolus. Dorothy Reese, accompanied by Miss Beverly Lynn sang and Marion Rice accompanied by Anelda Lewis played a violin solo. Miss Cathryne Anglemyer also sang two solos accompan ied by Miss Lymann. Stout and Wil liam L. Dickson were married July 26 at Reno, Nev. The double ring rites were read at 10:30 o'clock in the morning. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Beltz of Grants Pass. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Robert W. Stout, 1130 West Ninth street. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dickson of Grants Pass. The bride was graduated from Medford high school this year and the bridegroom attended Grants Pass high school. The couple is living in Grants Pass. Peonies Topic . Central Point "Peonies" will be the topic for the August meeting of the Central Point Garden club Wednesday, August 6. The meeting, at the home of Mrs. J. E.
