Brady In my practice as an interna tional quack I get a general view of the state of the baby business, and from this sur vey I feel q u a 1 i tied to make these ob servations: 1. Doctori, d r u g g ists, nurses, n e i g h b or hood sairey- gamps and parents to day do not make a practice of doping babies with opium (that is, laudanum, paregoric, cough syrups, colic 'cures) as they did when you and I wore didies. 2. Nowadays parents who are not morons give their babies a break in the way of clean liness, fresh air, light and comfortable clothing and bed covers or none if weather and common sense so indicate, pure wholesome food and pro tection against unsolicited ad vice by interfering neighbors and relatives. 3. Improvement in the business is slow because so many American parents, politicians and educators remain uncon vinced that instruction in in fant care and feeding should be requisite for entrance to high school.
