t Pickin' Pears News, Gossip, Comment From Camp White If James B. Garness hadn't been a golf player, he would never have thought of the idea which keeps him interested in life. He has been a salesman and store owner and now in the Do miciliary hobby shop he is work ing on his Invention that mows weeds by the same technique used in assailing a golf ball. He can assemble these lawn tools quickly, and keep up his sales manship to provide spending money, at least. The device consists of a knife blade at one end, supported by metal braces forming a triangle fixed to a handle, shaped,, bal anced and adjusted for the swing in cutting tufts of grass or weed growth around bushes. It is also adjustable for a digging action. Garness has made and sold his weed cutters for some time and recently revived his interest as a means of occupying his time while in the home. He had a company formed at Tacoma call . cd the Lawn WeeDig company.
