Patience Jr.,. left Medford Tuesday after spending a 30-day leave visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. -Irwin it. Patience, .Corona road. Pa tience, a member of the 1950 Medford high school graduating class, was one of a large group of that class who joined the serv ice at the same time. He is now en route to serve with a mobile medical unit of the . 3rd .Air Force in England , and his father reported he will be located in a country home formerly belong ing to Rudyard Kipling. The unit will, care for "overflow" patients from American mili tary hospitals. The airman had meen stationed at Sampson Air Force base, New York, before his present assignment. J 'y No More Concessions On Prisoner Issue Panmunjom, Korea (U.R) Allied truce negotiators told the Communists "flatly and definite ly" Thursday they woulet make no more concessions on the pris oner exchange issue. They accused the Reds ' of blocking an armistice in Korea by refusing to accept the final United Nations offer. Maj. Gen. William K. Harri son, senior U. N.' delegate, agreed to another meeting Fri day but told the Communists, "Why you want to meet again every day is difficult to understand." Gold Hill Woman Honored by Firm . Gold Hill Mrs. Bertha Coy Ross, former postmaster of Gold Hill and a long-time resident here, was honored yesterday for 23 years of service as an agent of the Firemens Fund Insurance Company of San Francisco. I A certificate of appreciation, voted by the company's board of directors and signed by Presi dent James F. Crafts, was pre sented to Mrs. Boss by J. W. Clark, Eugene, special agent for the company. In an accompanying letter, Crafts indicated the certificate was in appreciation of Mrs. Ross' "reputation of integrity and character" over a long period of years.
