spending a 30-day leave visiting

class, was one of a large group
of that class who joined the serv
ice at the same time. He is now
en route to serve with a mobile
medical unit of the . 3rd .Air
Force in England , and his father
reported he will be located in a
country home formerly belong
ing to Rudyard Kipling. The
unit will, care for "overflow"
patients from American mili
tary hospitals. The airman had
meen stationed at Sampson Air
Force base, New York, before his
present assignment.

Fern Valley Man Fined
After Hit-Run Accident
Virgil R. Schwab, 47, of Route
3, Box 223, Fern Valley, was
fined $25 and costs yesterday in
district court on a charge of fail
ure to stop at the scene of an
accident, city police records dis
closed today.
They said Schwab was the
driver of a truck which collided
with a parked car owned by Ha
zel O. Dean, 320 North Ivy
street, near the intersection of
South Central avenue and 10th
