'Agreement Seen In Bakers Strike Portland (U.R) An AFL bak ers union official hinted Tuesday that agreement was possible this week ending the union's five-week-old strike. . John Leffelman, business agent for the union, told the Portland Central Labor council that sev eral meetings have been held with representatives ' of the struck wholesale bakeries. An other meeting was set for Tues day. "If things keep going all right, possibly we may be able to settle something this week," he said. Meanwhile, AFL mailers re ported they have reached a stale mate with the management of the Oregon Journal and the Ore gonian after six months of nego tiation. No further meetings have been scheduled, the union .re ported. No action was requested of the labor council. H. Cate Jr. Before entry, certification by a county agent is required for 4-H contestants and by an FFA instructor for FFA contestants. To be eligible, contestans must be 18 to 20 years of age, and must submit all applications to Cate at the county court house by June 10. Awards will be $20 cash, to be applied on a 4-H or FFA pro ject. The contest, which consists of catching a calf and leading it to the judges circle within the time allotted, will begin Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock, June 14. Livestock, Crops " Tour Planned Soon The annual Southern Oregon Livestock and Crops tour will be held in Klamath county June 30 and July 1 and 2, according to R. H.
