Local and Candy Kidi The "Candy Kids," who have appeared in a number of -parades and public events lately, are no longer spon sored by Severson's Candy store, it was pointed out today. Bolen, Oakland, Calif., have left after visiting several days with Mrs. Bolen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Bewley, 1002 Winchester avenue, and the E. L. Bolens on Stewart avenue. Mrs. Edward J. Bolen is employed in offices of the Blue Cross Hospital Service. Incorporate Articles of in corporation were filed in the county clerk's office for the Med ford Cheney Studs and were signed by Ben B. Hammack, a student at Went- worth Military academy at Lex ington, Mo., and son of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Hammack, 602 North Riverside avenue, was elected treasurer of the National Honor society chapter at the academy just prior to the close of the school year. Membership in the society is limited to outstanding students in the high school de partment, according to a release from the academy. . Classes Intermediate square dance classes taught by Mrs. Min nie Robertson at the "Camp Cor ral," will begin this evening at 8 o'clock, members of the new class announced today. The class will consist of six lessons and ex cept for this first session, will be weekly on Wednesday evenings at the same place. Fire Weather Survey Cooperation Reported A cooperative fire weather survey program between the state forest patrol and Medford Corporation got underway here yetitarday, according t o Ted Maul, district warden. Under the program, Maul said. Medco will furnish readings of fuel moisture, relative humid ity, wind velocity and precipit ation for the Buttee Falls area. The firm 'is the first private area in District 16, including Jackson, Josephine and part of Douglas counties, to' take part in such a program, he said.
