Pass Bull ness and Profesional Women's clubs were Installed at a joint ceremony held Tuesday evening at the Grants Pass library audi torium. Minn Fern Trull, Grants Pass, state BPW federation presi dent, served as installing olticer. Installed for the Gold Hill club were Mrs. Thelma Bell, president; Mrs. Edith K. Graffis, vice-president; Mrs.- Joy Kruse, secretary; and Mrs. Betty Mol- loy, treasurer. . Mrs. Zepha Pierson directed the installation and presented the emblem ceremony, assisted by Miss Trull and Mrs. Shelton. Mrs. Margaret Grunze present ed bouquets of pink roses to Mrs. Vera Stewart, retiring president of the Gold Hill club, and Mrs. Mae Dawson, retiring president of the Grants Pass club. A presi dent's pin was presented to Mrs. Grunze, and a gift and past president's pin to Mrs. Dawson. All the officers were given cor sages made by Bonnie Borie. Students of Ruth Bennett's dancing school presented a pro gram of dance numbers, with Miss Kathleen Treick as accom panist, The committee In charge of arrangements included Mrs. Shelton, chairman, Mrs. West, Mrs. Borie, Dorothy Lobbato, Bcrnice Benjamine, Mary Weller and Beatrice Bureau, Family Leaves Dr. and Mrs. Max Carter, and daughter, Ann, left for their home at New Haven, Conn., re cently after a-10-day visit at the home of Dr. Carter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George E. (Brainerd photo) University Women Install Officers for Coming Term Medford branch, American Association of University Wom en, held the final meeting of the 1951-52 year recently at the Jackson hotel, and installed of ficers for the coming term. Mrs. J. P. Tobin took office as president, replacing Mrs. C. B. Collins. Other officers are Mrs. Don Wood, vice-president; Miss Anna May, treasurer and Mrs. C, H. Herman Jr., secretary. McKeen will act as advisors for the group. ' Ray Johnson of station KMED was speaker, talking on "Tele vision in the Rogue River Val ley." Mr. Johnson said there were no immediate prospects for bringing television to the valley, and that it was thought recep tion would not be good because of the geographical location of the district. Mrs. C. W. Lacy sang, accom panied by Mrs. Otto Frohn mayer. Medford Parents Unit To Hold Installation Mrs. D. E. Kenrter will be in stalled as the new chairman for Medford Parents' Unit at a meet ing Tuesday, June 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the home of Mrs. C. R Kllever, route 1, box 479C. Other officers to be Installed are Mrs. Kliever, vice-chairman Mrs. A. Hertager, secretary, and Ms. C. P. Smets, treasurer Mrs. Lyle Hcidelman, the present chairman, will preside. -' . A talk will be given by Mrs. Lucille Beach on color style In the home. Mrs. Beach is the color stylist from Sherwin-Williams company. Hostesses will be Mrs. E. C Brlttson, Mrs. Claud Miles and Mrs. Hcidelman. Memorial Service Held By RNA Juvenile Club; Birthday Party Follows A memorial service was con ducted by Royal Neighbor Juv eniles at a recent meeting. Dee orations were in purple and white, with bouquets of flowers and acorns and leaves arranged with a figure of Christ -"d a white cross. Miss Mary A...1 Ad ams sang a solo. After the service Mrs. Paul Morrow gave a surprise birthday party for her daughter, Darlene Morrow.-The refreshment tables were decorated in pink, blue and white and Mrs. Leland Goff, Mrs. Clyde Hillyer and Geral dine Gidney assited Mrs. Mor row as hostess. Degree of Honor junior club members and Royal Neighbors were invited guests. Miss Geraldine Gidney gave the honored guest gifts from the group. Mrs. H. G. Wilson, direc tor of Degree of Honor junior club and past president of the Oregon Degree of Honor lodge. and Mrs. Clayton Walker, dis trict deputy of Royal Neighbors lodge, spoke. Games were played and priz es awarded. Plan Assembly Reports For Rebekah Meeting Reports of a state Rebekah as sembly at Salem will be given by delegates of the Olive Rebek ah lodge during a meeting of the members Monday, June 2 at 8 p.m. in the Odd Fellows hall. During a previous meeting Mrs. Donald Ivie was elected no ble grand; Mrs. Oliver Rogers, vice-grand; Mrs. Fred Daugher ty, recording secretary, and Mrs. L. O. Howard, treasurer. Installation will be held some time in July. The Rebekahs will assist Odd Fellows during a reception for Lynn Cram, grand master, and others who were appointed to of fices. The date of the reception Is June 7. It will be held In the junior high school auditorium at 8 p.m. Further announcements of the event will be made by those In charge.
