Prospect Association To rrospect Prospect Parent Teacher association will hold the final meeting of the year Tues day, May 27, at 8:00 p.m. in the high school with Alf B. Mek vold, superintendent of Jackson County schools, as the speaker for the evening. Installation of officers will take place with Mrs. Frances I. Pearson serving as installing of ficer. To be installed are Mrs. George Hubbard, president; Mrs. Irma Beddingfield, vice-president; Mrs. Lucius Rogers, secre tary; Mrs. Donald Vaughn, treasurer. Hold Installation; Executive Board Meets A final check will be made on the plans for the summer round up of all pre-school children who will be entering school in the fall. Parents who have not been contacted and who have eligible children are asked to contact Mrs. Luke Biden. Men of the organization will be in charge of the refreshments, with Charles E. Funk as chair man. James Popp and Donald Vaughn are on the committee for the refreshments; Louis Cleven berg, Norman Stewart, and Wes ley Stauffer are in charge of clean-up; Norman Hallyburton and William Schulz will take care of the decorations. The executive board of the association met at the home of Mrs. Irma Beddingfield May 19. Plans were made for the annual school picnic on Thursday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m. at the Union Creek picnic grounds. Final ar rangements were also made for the regular meeting of the or ganization May 27. A pressing iron of Victorian days burned charcoal and had a chimney. Dance of Camp White Planned by Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles aux iliary will sponsor a regular dance at Camp White veterans domiciliary Monday evening, May 26. Women from the Grants Pass FOE auxiliary will have charge of arrangements and music. All who care to attend are in vited and the women attending are asked to take homemade cakes. Transportation without charge will be available from the Trailways depot at7:30 p.m. Wagner Creek Club Honors Candidate Wagner Creek Youth club members benefitted the candid acy of their club secretary, Miss Betty Hopper, in the queen con test for the Phoenix May festi val by sponsoring a dance May 16. Women of the community served refreshments and the vice- president, Bob Hurd, acutioned a cake to add to the funds. Mrs. John Gast baked and decorated the cake with a miniature queen figurine. A. Cluff. Mrs. J. F. Bradley and Mrs. R. R. Petre. Out-of-town guests included Mrs. A. L. Brooks, Klamath Falls; Mrs. J F. Terry, Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. F. J. Burger, Maidstone, Kent, England. Dessert luncheon and cards were the afternoon's diversions. Plans for a baked foods sale on June 12, date of the next meeting, were made. Mrs. M. D. Farr, a club member, will leave soon to live in Portland, it was announced. Bridge prizes were awarded to Mrs. Charlotte McCullough and Mrs. Faith Graves; pinochle to Denim jackets for men, tailor ed to look equally well in town or country, will be worn with odd slacks this summer. Mrs. A. G. Motschenbacher and Mrs. Cuff; and canasta to Mrs. Dennis Carter and Mrs. Petre. Hostesses were Mrs. Denton, Mrs. C. P. Talbot and Mrs. Ruby Wright.
