The regular May meeting will be held as scheduled, they added. Hospitalised Carl Ludwig, 519 North Grape street, is at Community hospital because of a heart attack suffered April 18, according to his family. He is not allowed to have visitors, they added. Back Injured Glenn Wil liams, 31, of 1254V4 Dixie lane, a county road department em ployee, was taken yesterday to Community hospital by Conger- Morris ambulance, according to ambulance attendants. Vance, Jacksonville - Phoenix highway, has completed an over seas tour of duty in Germany and is now assigned to the 1901st AACS squadron, Travis Air Force base, California, according to a Travis base release. The squadron to which he now is at tached is a unit of the Air Force's airways and air commu nicatlons service which provides a global communications organ! zation greater than any military air communications system in the world. Yeoman Returns Richard B Smith, yeoman third class, USN, husband of Mrs. Mary R. Smith, 1121 East Main street, Medford, arrived In San Diego, Calif., April 19 aboard the USS Wan tuck. The Wantuck a unit of the Pacific fleet amphibious force. has been in Korean waters since August, 1951, and has partici pated in several commando raids and daylight short bombardment missions. Fear German -French Saar Ta k Breakdown Paris (U.R) American and French diplomatic sources fear the breakdown of German French talks on the coal-rich Saar district will delay forma tion of a European army. West German Chancellor Kon rad Adenauer, speaking before the German Parliament, said Wednesday further talks with France over the area were "lm possible." Paris newspapers Thursday accused the Germans of breaking off the talks to strengthen their hands, when and if negotiations are reopened. Mrs. Graham was born May 10, 1924, in Burlcy, Ida. On Nov. 13, 1947, she was married to Rus sell B. Graham in the Mormon Temple, in Salt Lake City. She had lived in Shady Cove since August. 1950, coming from Pro vo, Utah. She Is survived by her hus band; two children, DeLoy, 3 2 years, and Glenn, 3Kb years; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mei- ners, Kaysville, Utah; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Orton, Burlcy, Ida.; June Meiners, Ogden; Mary. and Lily May Meiners, Kays ville; and five brothers, Robert, Burley, Ida.; Paul, on a mission for the L.D.S. Oatis Only Did Duty, Journalists Charge Berlin U.R) The Congress of the International Federation of Free Journalists charged Thursday at its opening session that Associated Press Correspon dent William N. Oatis was jailed by the Czech Communist govern ment merely for fulfilling his duties as a newspaper man. Oatis has Just completed the first year of a, 10-year sentence on charges of espionage. I The congress Friday will re enact the Oatis trial to prove that the verdict was a miscar riage of justice and the trial a farce. Four Czechs and an American, not yet chosen, who resembles Oatis will be the actors. One of the main purposes of the four-day congress is to draw attention to the fate of Oati "who fulfilled only his duties as a newspaperman and has been victim of a system which has drawn the Iron Curtain between East and West."
