Tkondar' Mart SO. 1M1 The Grange EntereriM Graag The March 11 business meet ing of Enterprise Grange, Master 'Chester Jensen presiding, was W?U attended with 32 members present and 43 visitors repre senting Pomona Grange, upper Rogue, Upper Applegate, Gold Hill, Bellview. Live Oak, Sams Valley, Phoenix, Griffin Creek anH Ontral Point. Pohiona Grange presented the lecture hour urogram. This was the first of a series of meetings where a neighboring Grange presents the lecture nour program. Ubum Aeelaoaia Grange Upper Applegate Grange will meet in regular session tor so cial meeting on March 22. The literary program will consist principally of musical numbers by the Hucn accoraion nana under direction of Eve Prentice. Two representatives from the county tax office also a member of the county court will be pres ent to explain tne county lax cvctpm and . answer Questions .relative to property assess ments, etc. au interested are in vited. Sams Vallty Grang Sams Valley Grange met ; March 15 with Master Ralph presiding. Albert Straus! on P. M. A., Principal of Sams Valley school. on India. Fred Divisek I presented his accordion band and vocalists, Ferris Simpson, Vera Wood, Georgia Ashby, Marilyn Barker, Susan Perry, and Herbert Ridgely. Visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hockersmith of Phoe nix and Mr. and Mrs. John Peff- ley of Brookings and Mr. and j Mrs. Murray Perry of Grants! Pass. Herman Preim talked on how to feed calves. Next H. E. C. meeting will be at the home of Melitta Preim. Serving at the next meeting will be Mrs. Helena James and Mrs. Ruth Donough. There will be a dance at Sams Valley Grange hall on March 29. James talked Mack spoke Live Oak Grang A larger attendance than usual was present at last week's meet ing of Live Oak Grange to greet Master Henry Tjoelker and his bride on their return from a honeymoon on the coast. During the lecture program, the newlyweds were presented with a beautiful floor, lamp, a gift from the "members, and a fine coffee maker from the H.E.C. Glen Black, master of ceremonies, made clever presen tations of the gifts. Mr. and Mrs. John Breeding, whose golden wedding anniversary fell on this date, were presented with a gold woolen blanket and a large gold anniversary cake which was cut and served during the refresh ment hour along with a three- tiered wedding cake which was decorated by Mrs. Henry Bonney lor the occasion. Chester Jensen, master of En terprise Grange at Wimer was a special guest and brought with him Mr. and Mrs. Wehren who received the third and fourth degrees with the initiation of Live Oak candidates. They were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hutchison. Mr. and Mrs. H. Knutson, Mr. ind Mrs. Truman Drew. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lingren, Mr. and Mrs. Harold . Dunham, Leslies Jones, U. R. Fanley and Guy wncox.
