(This is go ing to be good. Let the poor creature con tinue.) The type of facial I had is supposed to be the very latest electronic sys Pa. Brady tem. (Quiet, please. You haven't heard the half of it yet.) They are wave therapy treat ments, which, as you probably know ... (Therapy, as you evidently don't know, is a $5.98 way of saying treatment.) . . . are two rods with "electric current in their ends. (It's simple enough, after all.) This is applied to the muscles of the face which in turn is sup posed to exercise and tone the muscles. , (As long as elementary physi ology and hygiene are so care fully neglected in school and college, the credulous sex will sling to the fatuous belief that a machine or a masseuse can do their exercising for them! and once a woman turns that way from the road to health she may say goodbye to beauty.) After taking 10 my face felt fjrm and less flabby but they are expensive and I could not afford to keep them up. (Nonsense! Women spend more than a million dollars a day for cosmetic nostrums and what purports to be "beauty" treatment.) I am wondering now if they might have been harmful, as my face looks droopier than before I took them. If they are not harmful I'll try to take another course .'. . (Signed) (No, they are not harmful, so far as I know. Most of the "beauty" monkeyshines used by women are harmless, if we dis regard the waste of money and time which, wisely used, might enable the woman to conserve any beauty she may have.
