March S. 1952 MZDfORD (OREGON) MAIL TRIBUNE THREE BATTLE MILLION-DOLLAR BLAZE From adjoining rooftop, firemen battle a raging fire that is consuming the seven-story Clinton Hotel in downtown Philadelphia. The seven-alarm, million-dollar fire was the city's worst In three years. More than 153 persons were evacuated safely. Those trapped on upper floors were rescued down aer;al ladders by firemen. Sixteen firemen were overcome by smoke and taken to hospitals. Fifty others were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. The Grange Lake Creek Grange A special meeting of Lake Creek Grange was held Febru ary 28 to initiate new members. There were 45 visitors and 29 members present. Master Bob Bitterling, of the Eagle Point Grange, was escort ed to the master's station.
