Wilkin son have returned to their home on Park avenue after spending the past two weeks in Califor nia. The Wilkinsons were in San Francisco, San Jose, Saratoga, and also spent some time in Monterey and Carmel. The Wilkinson's daughter, Miss Dolores Wilkinson, left Saturday for Marlyhurst college after spending the Easter vaca tion in Medfvrd with her family. Mrs. Wilkinson and another daughter, Miss Pat Wilkinson, motored north with her. and are spending the week-end at the college and in Portland. "The Hart of Fashion" 22 South Crape Phone 2-8992 PTA Council Plans Meeting Wednesday; To Hear Professor Professor Loren Messenger of Southern Oregon College will be principal speaker at a meeting of the Jackson County Council of Parents and Teachers Wednes day, April 19, in the Jacksonville Presbyterian church. The ses sion will begin at 10:30 a.m. and luncheon will be served at noon by the Mariner club of the church at a nominal charge. Committee reports will be given during the morning busi ness session and will include one by Mrs. Frank Conners, state mental hygiene chairman. Mrs. Conners will also include a brief discussion on the national parent-teacher magazine. Annual election of officers will also be held during the morning. New officers will be installed by Mrs. W. R. Glass, state regional vice-president. Roosevelt Mothers' chorus from Roosevelt school, Medford will appear on the program im mediately after lunch, to be fol lowed by Professor Messenger's talK on mental hygiene. Those attending are asked to make reservations immediately by calling Mrs. Paul Culbertson, president of the Jacksonville Parent- Teacher association phone Medford 3-1454. This in formation is necessary for those serving the luncheon. Child care will be provided New Oak Grove jlyb Will Hear Speakers; Group Will Be Named Mrs. Don Berry will speak on pest control at a meeting of tne new garden club of the Oak Grove district, in the Oak Grove school house, Tuesday, April 18, at ip.ni, Mrs. W. B. Kincaid of the Cen tral Point Garden club will speak on spring flowering bulbs. Members may bring questions to be considered in a round-table discussion. Members having flowers in bloom are asked to take specimens for display. The constitution will be presented for members' approval by the constitution chairman, Mrs. T. E, Knackstedt. A name for the club will also be decided on. Mrs. Hans Meier and Mrs. John Brewold will be hostesses. Couple Married Here In Recent Ceremony Miss Patricia H. Morgan of Yreka, Cal., and Harry L. Young of Toledo, Wash., were married here recently at the Christian Church of Christ. The Rev. Don Bvrons performed the ceremony. Miss Morgan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Morgan of Yreka and the bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Young of Toledo. The couple will make their home in Yreka. Meeting Announced For Methodist Circle Members of Circle 8 of the First Methodist church will be guests of Mrs. A. M. Perkins for dessert on Wednesday, April 19, at her home, 406 South Peach street. Final plans for a "tiny tots fashion tea" will be made at this meeting, it Is announced. Date for the tea has been set for Friday afternoon, May 12, in the cnurcn parlors. Easter Luncheon Is Largest Event Of Recent Days Largest social event of the week was the annual Easter Monday luncheon and card party of St. Ann s Altar society ot sacred Heart Catholic church About 250 women attended the luncheon and card party, held in the recreation room of the YMCA. The Easter Monday luncheon is a tradition of many years with tne society, and each year at tracts a throng of bridge players. Mrs. J. w. McDutfie Sr.. was cnairman tor the event this year, and her committee included Mrs. W. W. Stevenson, Mrs. Paul Meyers, Mrs. Raymond Miksche, Mrs. John Boyle, Mrs. Myrle Mernman. Mrs. John Murphy, Mrs. O. J. Halboth, Mrs. George Horton, Mrs. Walter Young. Mrs. Thomas Eslinger, Mrs. James Dunlevy, Mrs. Louis Rentz, Mrs. Robert Wright and Miss Patricia Wilkinson. During the afternoon prizes were awarded to Mrs. J. V. Moore, Mrs. S. M. Rhodes. Mrs. G. Weiss, Mrs. Russell Barnes, Mrs. Georgia Adams. Mrs. War ren Bayliss, Mrs. Herbert H. Squires, Mrs. Leland Clark, Mrs, Elder Conser, Mrs. Elaine Grif fin, Mrs. James Murray, Mrs. Claude Holmes, Mrs. B. B. Bar- tels, Miss Laurettc Seitz. Mrs A. C. Fries and Mrs. Richard House. The room presented a gay scene Monday, with the "Easter bonnets" and fashionable suits and frocks of the guests. Mrs, Joe Clark wore a navy blue en semble with touches of white and red, Mrs. Herbert Seitz wore furs with her grey suit and Mrs, n. u. Boston wore a smart nana knitted suit, knitting being one oi Mrs. r'oston s hobbies. Mrs. Claude E. Mclntyre top ped her costume with a chic green hat, and another smart green hat was that worn by Mrs. James Grigsby. Mrs. Sam Gilbert's modish costume was in shades of beige and brown, and Mrs. Joseph T. Antony also wore brown, with orchid corsage. One of the most intriging hats in the room was a shell-shaped white and blue straw worn by Miss Pat Wilkin son, and Mrs. Mary Brown's Easter frock was worn with a pink cartwheel hat. Mrs. R. A. Miksche's interest ing ensemble was a chartreuse and grey print worn with a chartreuse colored straw hat trimmed with the new shade called cola brown. Mrs. Miksche's pearl beads and ear rings were in a shade which blended with the chartreuse tone. Mrs. Edwin O. McKeen also wore a smart print frock and a pink hat, Mrs. Clay M. Lee's grey suit was set off with a red straw hat and Mrs. Eugene Peterson wore black topped with a shiny black straw hat. Miss Inez Brabbin i And Verle Lubbers Married Recently Wagner Creek Miss Inez Brabbin and Verle Lubbers, Medford, were married by the Rev. J. C. Barnett at the Wagner Creek schoolhouse April 1. Attendants were the bride s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Brabbin. The bride wore a suit of dusty rose with grey accessories, and a corsage of white carnations. She carried a white uime. airs. Brabbin was attired in a grey suit with black accessories and her corsage was of pink carna tions. Many friends and neighbors were present for the wedding. followed by a reception lor tne bridal party and relatives held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Long Jr. The ncwlyweds are living in Medford. A bridal shower was held for Miss Brabbin March 21 at the home of Mrs. Long. Twenty- eight guests were present, the bride-to-be received many guts. Saltsgavers Honored At Shower and Party; Wedding March Event About 100 friends of Mr. and Mrs. Dixon K. Saltsgaver of Cen tral Point gathered at Willow Springs school house recently to honor the couple with a miscel laneous shower. The couple s marriage In Vancouver, wasn., was an event of March 28. The bride is the former Miss Lola Blackford. The couple was presented gifts from a table arranged with a lattice work arch covered with daffodils. Mrs. Delmar Smith furnished background music and Frank Hammond and Mrs. Hom er Conger sang. Following the opening of gifts a wedding cake which had been baked by Mrs. Lloyd Hammond and Mrs. Conger was served. A guest book which was sign ed by those attending was pre sented to the couple. State President FL Club Visitor Mrs. Margaret Hull and Mrs. Margaret Jackson of Monroe, Ore., were honored guests at a meeting of the r L. club recently in the home of Mrs. Vivian Knox, 127 Portland avenue. Mrs. Hull is state president of r Li clubs of Oregon and Mrs, Jackson is president of the Mon loe chapter. Mrs. r redene Doty. A salad sup per preceded the meeting and re freshments were served at its close by Mrs. Knox and her com mittee. Decorations were in the club colors and Easter theme. Jacksonville Girl Married Recently To Vancouver Man Jacksonville The marriage of Miss Freda Lou Gravelle, daugh ter of Mrs. Lee Mntney, Jackson ville, and Jake Bleth, of Van couver, Wash., was an event of March 31 in the home of Judge i. L. Touvelle, Jacksonville The ceremony took place at 8 p.m. For her marriBge, the bride wore a royal blue suit with gray accessories. Her corsage was of gardenias. Mrs. Thelma How ard, Medford, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Her suit was beige with red accessories and she wore a gardenia corsage. Lee Matney acted as best man. A reception was held in the TouVelle home following the ceremony. Mrs. Richard Gra velle served and Mrs. Sadie Opp and the Misses Pauline Hardy and Janet Tuttle poured. The bride's mother cut the cake. About 30 friends and relatives attended. Mixed spring blossoms and daffodils formed decorations for the ceremony and reception. The bride was a member of the 1950 class of Jacksonville high school and had attended Jacksonville schools the entire 12 years. The couple has left for Van couver, Wash., where they will make their home. Plans Brief Meeting Jacksonville Adarel chapter. Order of the Eastern 'Star, will meet in the Jacksonville Masonic hall Thursday, April 20, for a brief business meeting. Following the business meet ins the erouD will make a visit ation to the Joint meeting of Reames and Nevita chapters in Central Point. The altar society's regular meeting, postponed from last week, will be held Tuesday, April 18 at 1 p.m. in the parish hall. Mrs. Carl Mundon's unit will serve luncheon. Lighting to Be Topic Of Central Point Unit Central Point Miss Eula Wintermote will present the pro ject "Improved Home Lighting" to the Central Point Extension unit Wednesday, April 19 at 10:30 a.m. In the home of Mrs. E.
