' J 'iL.L'Sfti " ASHLANQ Gold Hill Gold Hill, Apr. 15 Jack Han cock returned April 10 after spending more than a week at the Marine hispital in San Fran cisco. - Mr. and Mrs. Don Ferguson have received word of the birth of a girl to their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Ferguson at Bend. The baby, born April 10, weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and has been named Marilyn Mae. She is the first grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Fer guson. Mrs. Rose Billings of Tacoma, Wash., is spending some time with her mother, Mrs. Mary Chisholm. Miss Arlene Gascon and Jack Davison of Eagle Point were married in Reno, Nev., March 27. They returned to Gold Hill where they are staying for an indefinite time at the home of Mrs. Davidson's father. John Gascon. Misses Gael and Patty Sulli van of Sparks, Nev., spent the week of April 2 visiting at the home of their grandmother, Mrs. Carl- Lentz. Clifford Ross is spending a furlough with his mother, Mrs. Doris Clark and his brother and sister. James and Dorothy Halm. He has been discharged from the Walter Reed hospital in Wash ington, D. C, and will be with his mother for an Indefinite stay. Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Bailey and Kenneth spent the Easter week-end in Portland at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Bailey of that city. Earl Mundy of San Francisco spent the week-end transacting business in this city. While here he sold his home at the corner of Sixth avenue at Eighth street to A. H. Harrison. Mrs. Kike Van Houten is spending a couple of weeks vis iting friends and relatives in Washington. Ray Kenston, a former resi dent of this city, is visiting friends here and at the home of his cousin, Pitt Penney of Rogue River. His brother, Bob is again wrestling at Tuscon, Aril. Mrs. Albert Simmons, Mrs. Al bert Huffman and Mrs. Florence Eskridge and daughter, all of Riddle, came April 7 and visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Densmore. They motored to Rogue River where they viaited Mr. and Mrs. Pat Whitmore and children in their new home. Mrs. Simmons remained for sev eral days to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Whitmore. The others re turned to their home last week. Sunday, April 7, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Densmore visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gage of Rogue River. While there they met former friends, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Rigsby and daughter from Sutherlin. Mrs. Betty Grumbo and two children have moved from the Earl Mundy house to the W. L. Van Houten property on First avenue recently vacated by the Robert M. Barker family. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Van Lyde Graf of Reno, Nev., were visitori at the home of Mrs. Minnie Byer ly, April 12. Mrs. Byerly is an aunt of Mrs. Van Lyde Graf. Pat Foley spent his spring va cation at Eureka, Cal., visiting his uncle, Frank Foley and fam ily. He returned home April 7.
