Sanderson and Jack Barr, took top honors at the weekly meet ing of the Medford Duplicate Bridge club Tuesday evening I with a score of 65V4 points. The couples who held the next four top spots all were closely bunched as to score. Mrs. Herbert Seitz and A. C. Fries were second with 60V4 points, Mrs. Al Gilhousen and T. J. M. Milner. manager of Mcd- ford's Western Auto Supply com pany store, left Thursday for Portland to attend a merchandis ing conference of company store managers. The Portland session is one of three district-wide mer chandising meetings to be held during the winter season on the Pacific coast. The others are scheduled for San Fsancisco and Los Angeles. While in Portland the assistant manager, Ted Siev er, will have charge of the local store. Western Auto's annual meet- insa of managers were discon tinued during the war and have lust been reestablished, Milner said. New merchandise will be previewed and merchandising methods discussed in connection with the company's silver anni versary celebration and sales to be held simultaneously by near ly 3,000 stores of two divisions early this spring.
