pany store, left Thursday for
Portland to attend a merchandis
ing conference of company store
managers. The Portland session
is one of three district-wide mer
chandising meetings to be held
during the winter season on the
Pacific coast. The others are
scheduled for San Fsancisco and
Los Angeles. While in Portland
the assistant manager, Ted Siev
er, will have charge of the local
store.
Western Auto's annual meet-

said. New merchandise will be
previewed and merchandising
methods discussed in connection
with the company's silver anni
versary celebration and sales to
be held simultaneously by near

quarters in Los Angeles.
