Dickinson, daughter, Sandy and son, Bob, have returned to Medford to make their home after spending the past four and one-half years in Bremerton where Mr. Dickinson was em ployed at the navy base. They are at present staying wun mrs. Dickinson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Buel of Talent. Surber and Douglas J. Parkhurst. Auto Accidents A Grey hound bus operated by Jen O. I Nielsen, Springfield, and a car driven by Welcome J. White, Ashland, were damaged slightly at 12:30 p m. yesterday when they collided at Eighth and Bart lett streets, city police reported this morning. Passengers in the bus escaped injury, police said. Accident reports filed with po lice stated that considerable damage was caused cars driven by Murray A. Bradley, 8 Laurel street, and Donald W. Ferguson, Gold Hill, in a collision last night at the intersection of Beat- ty and Edwards streets. Varner, 527 Pennsylvania avenue, has returned after re ceiving an honorable discharge from the army at Ft. Lewis, fol lowing 14 months service in the South Pacific. Varner held the rank of technical sergeant while in the army and served with the signal corps of the sixth army headquarters in New Guinea, Philippines and Japan. He ex pects to return to Oregon State college in the fall. Discharged Reporting to Jackson county selective service boards yesterday following hon orable discharge from the serv ice were Robert L. Thompson, Jr., Howard W. Piete, Virgil M, Davis, James H. Doe. Albert E Hall and John D. Murphy. Bus In Wreck A truck driv en by Duane M. Corwln, Trail, was damaged considerably this morning when in collision at the Summit avenue and Jackson street intersection with a Roose velt school bus operated by Ar thur Short, 622 West Second street, city police reported. The Corwin vehicle skidded 98 feet in an attempt to avoid striking the bus, which was loaded with school students, police said. No one was injured, the report stated. Cleven Home Edgar M. ele ven, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Cleven, 1014 West Ninth street, returned to the home of his par ents Saturday from Ft. Lewis, Wash., following an honorable discharge from the army. Cleven was released from the army aft er three years, four months serv ice, including ten months over seas with the 226th general hos pital. Pvt. Glenn Cleven, other son of the elevens, Is now sta tioned in Germany with occupa tion forces.
