Mil ler, president of the Southern Oregon College association, an nounced the plans following a luncheon meeting of association members yesterday, - Invitations have been sent to all teaching staffs of Jackson county schools, school superin tendents of Grants Pass, Med ford, Coos Bay, Roseburg, Klam ath Falls and Yreka as well as mayors of the larger cities, alum ni officials and newspaper pub lishers of southern Oregon and northern California, Miller said. A full program has been ar ranged which will include the Ashland American Legion Kilty band Ashland school bands and a short talk by Irving Vining, who will extend appreciation nd gratitude to Dr. Walter Red ford, retiring president of the college. Measles Tops On Disease Report Twenty-three cases of measles topped the list of communicable diseases reported to the county health officer last week, 21 cases being reported from Med ford, one from Shady Cove and one from Myers Lane. Also listed were two cases of chickenpox, one from Four Cor ners and one from Medford; one case of mumps from Medford, one of pneumonia, Eagle Point, one of influenza from Medford and two cases of trench mouth, also from Medford, YOUTH WEEK IS TOPIC OF FIRST Youth of the First Christian Church were guests of the Bible school at a banquet Friday night in Fellowship Hall. The pro gram centered in the theme of the United Youth Movement, "Mold the World." Dick Hane acted as toastmas ter. Musical features were pre sented by Mrs. Margaret Dan iels, vocalist; Glenn Yost, ac cordionist, and Verene Bailey, pianist. The theme was discussed under four topics: "In the Home," Anne Bohnert; "In the! School," Elaine Hoffman; "In the Church," Glenn Yost; "In J the Community," Don House. I The program committee was composed of Virginia Long, Norman Deming, and Arlene Troxell. Invitations were pre pared by Monta Maa Hill, Bill Saxbury and Kay Crawford. Youth Week activities were climaxed at the evening service Su.iday, Their subject was, "We Must Be the World We Want." Anne Bohnert was soloist, and Loree Montleth and Jeanne Rice sang a vocal duet.
