TEW MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE Your H 2alth and It's Care By DR. WILLIAM BRADY M.O. ' Htidin should address tnqutrlei toi Or William Brady. 266 FA Camino Bawl? Hills Calii. YOU'RE TE I printed hero the inquiry of a reader whose 12-year-old son had about a hundred warts on his hands and what to do, with the un guarded an swer that I agreed with the advice the family doctor had given let 'em alone. As though I h a d any experience with human nature, 1 added Dr. Brady what I meant to be a reassuring remark, name ly, that "warts have a way of coming and going." I should have known better. Yet, as writhe and moan and bite my knuckles here In the darkest corner of my once cheer ful playroom behind a pile of letters describing absolutely pos itive Incantations against warts I am seized with a new convul slon upon opening each fifth let- ter, which reveals, as a precious secret, a remedy for warts that I have described In this column not less than a score of times. A sample revelation: My boy had bad ones (warts). The principal of the school he attends told him to put cantor oil on the warts, not the hands, every day. Nothing happened for a while, but In about two months they began to disappear and have not come back. No blemishes remained. A dairyman farmer says that not merely castor oil but ma chine greases, axle grease and even the oil or fat butter and cheese makers handle In their work keeps the hands free from warts. Let me state here, In self de fense, that I take no stock In any treatment for warts, one or one hundred, except one or an other method of surgical re ' moval. Moreover, so far as 1 know, believe or Imagine, the castor oil, axle grease or butter treatment Is Just as absurd or effective as a piece of pork stolen from your grandmother In Administrator's Notice of Sale IN THE COUNTY COURT OF THE STATE OF ORKC-ON FOR JACKSON COUNTY IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OF HENRY W nnANrW. When or if I have a wart or warts I'll fool along with Mild Tincture of Iodine (U.S. P. and Br.), painting a coat of this (about 2 iodine strength) on the wart or warts and the skin around them, say twice weekly. If the wart or warts remained more than a month or six weeks, I'd have the wart or warts surgi cally removed, under local an esthesia, In the doctor's office, and be done with it. I have given castor oil the em phasis here because I believe If it does no good at any rate It can do no harm. Remember, though, warts have that way. So it is only fair to credit It Coincidence with an assist in the cure: Finally, you can't get warts from handling toads but nan die them gentle, kids, for they are friendly and useful visitors or tenants in any garden.
