Rosson, director of the State Department of Vet erans' Affairs, advised thu week. The fact that a man Is discharged from the armed forces docs not terminate this insurance, provided he con tinues the premium payments, Mr. Rosson explained. If the veteran has allowed his Insurance to lapse, however, he may have It reinstated, either within six months after date of discharge or within three months after dale of lapse, whichever Is later, by payment of only two monthly premiums without In terest and by filing a statement showing that he is in good health j as he was on the date of lapse. Facts To Remember After expiration of the two periods stated above, the veteran must be In good health and fur nish satisfactory evidence therc ! of In the form of a complete - physical examination. This ex- amination may be obtained free ' through the Veterans' Adminis tration. Other facts to remember: 1. First premium payment after discharge is usually pay able during the first month of discharge. 2. Always show policy num ber when making payment. 3. If number is not known, payment should bo accompanied by a letter giving name, serial number, rank, organization, and date of birth. 4. At any time after the policy is In force for one year, but be fore the expiration of eight years, it should be converted In to ordinary life, 20-paymont life, or 30-payment life policies. S. Checks, drafts, or money orders for premium payments should be made payable to the treasurer of the United States and sent to: Collections Subdi vision, Veterans' Administration, Washington, 25, D. C. THE GRANGE Phoenix Grange Phoenix Grange meeting Tuesday night was presided . over by Master C. Mr. and Mrs. John Pefley of Sums Valley Grange, of which Mr. Pcflev Is mnster, brought messages from their Grange. Program for next meeting will bo presented by the drama tics committee , with Myrtle Ferns, chairman. The lecturer reminded all officers and com mittees that they would be re sponsible for a program some time during the year. The meeting of Pomona Grange next Saturday at the Hellevlew Grange was announc ed and all members urged to at tend. A program number will be presented by this Grange. Refreshments were furnished bv Mr and Mrs. Al S?hrocler. Mr. and Mrs. Noah Chandler and Mrs. Ada Bell. The first two mentioned being the only ones of the committee present, they were assisted In serving by members of the Home Econ omies committee. Clean up nnd repair day was observed at the hall on Wednes day with a good number of grangers assisting. Covered dish dinner was served. Gas Station, Auto Camp Planned For South City Limits Phoenix, Jan. 24 Opening of their Union oil service station on tho Pacific highway Just out side the south cltv limits here Is planned for February 19 by Harold Stnveson and his son. Gene. Thp business will be known as Steve's Service Sta tion. The two men and Harold's brother, Paul, and father, H. F. Steveson, contemplate building an auto court on property across the highway from the station. They plan to start with five units and will put about $3,000 Into each, Harold Steve sen says. It. F. Steveson owns and operates the old Coulver dairy. According to Harold Steveson the men may eventually sub divide 20 acres of the estate for homes.
