When the mobile unit arrives at Timber Pro-ducts Thursday, X-rays will be taken from 12 (noon) until 1 o'clock, and from 2 to 6 p.m. On Friday, when the X-ray on wheels sets up at the courthouse, X-rays will be taken from 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. These hours have been arranged to enable workmen, who are out in the field or on seasonal jobs, to take advantage of the offer, when they would not be able to do so under the regular schedule. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 3 and 4, the X ray will be operated, as pre viously announced, from 10 a.m. to 12 m. and from 1 to 4 p. m. Burkhart of the Cen tral Point district brought a red ; rooster to the Rogue Animal j hospital two days ago which had been beheaded along with half ( a dozen other chickens, but was : still able to stand up and walk around. Last night the rooster died in its cage at the hospital, Dr. Stanley E. Philips reports. Burkhart told Dr. Philips he decapitated the chickens and tossed them aside on the ground. When he had completed the work he was amazed to see the rooster wobbling around the barnyard but with most of his ; head on the ground. He gather-1 ed up the fowl and hastened to the hospital. An examination showed the ax had clipped off most of the I head but left enough brain to ! provide directing power, Dr. Philips said. The neck was not j injured, and the rooster was able to swallow some food. Yesterday j he began to fade and during the j night gave up the ghost. j A similar mishap befell a Colo- j rado rooster last month and its 1 picture appeared in the October issue of Life magazine.
