DON'T MIND Orange woman writes: Just finished reading the Bra dy Baby Book and to say I am Indignant would be to put it mildly. Please tell me what year your book dates back to? For instance babies haven't been fed more f r e q u e n tly than every 4 hours for years, yet you rec o m m e n d 2V4 hours for the first month or to, except in the night . . . Why, even hospi tals vould be shocked unless the btiby is an incubator baby. Where do you get your au thority to print such an exagger ated and untruthful pamphlet? And your description of special ists is criminal. Nrm that you have challenged my teaching In this public way, Ma'am, I suppose I must mumble something by way of self-defense. The Brady Baby Book dates back to 1918 But there have been a good many editions since then, and, believe it or not, cor respondents sometimes tell me they were raised on the Brady Baby Book and now they are raisin their own kids by the same book. This Ma'am, Is not rebuttal, for vou have given no evidence but n.crely your opinion. I am merely explaining the creaks end rattles your hypersensitive . ear detects as we drive along.
