Turney, rector of St. Mark's Episcopal church, has been named presi dent of the newly organized Rogue River Valley Knife and Fork club, election having been held by mail ballot. The new officers and directors held a meeting yesterday with E. E Schlotz, Denver, executive field director of the Associated clubs First Meeting Set Initial meeting of the club is tentatively set for Tuesday, Sept 25, with Archduke Felix of Aus tria invited as first guest speak er. The duke is the younger brother of Otto, pretender to the throne in the event Austria re sumes a monarchy. The subject matter which Felix discusses is primarily an analysis of the topic "Is A United States of Europe Possible?" Schlotz states. The group is limited because it will become a dinner club when arrangements can be made. Early meetings, however, will be at an auditorium and to these members will be privileged to bring their immediate families as guests. Auto Accident Considerable damage was caused Monday to a sedan operated by Mrs. Leonard Gaines, Prospect, when in col lision at Third and Bartlett streets with a car driven by Al bert F. White, Applegate, accord ing to an accident report filed with city police. A second re port states that cars driven by Margaret Hilkey, Route 1, Cen tral Point, and A. Daugherty, King street, were slightly dam aged yesterday in a collision on North Central avenue. Nitzell, former principal at Oak Glove school, returned to Mcdford Monday from San Diego, wnere he received an honorable dis charge from the navy. Mrs. Nitzell, who made her home nenr the San Diego naval training center during the summer, re turned with her husband to their homo at 727 Palm street. The couple visited Sequoia National park and King's Canyon en route here. Men Discharged Several Rogue River valley men were among the latest group to be dis charged from the army at Ft. Lewis, Wash., a release from the fort states. Receiving discharges were Sgt. Glenn B. Rodgers, route 4, box 14; Pvt. James W. Hobbs, Phipps Auto park; Pfc. Era W. Van Brunt, 236 South Central avenue, and T'Sgt. Wal ter E. Bish, route 4, box 145, Medford. Others were T'5 floyd S. William and Sgt. Marion D. Reed, Ashland; T'9 Clayton D.
