The Bureau is called on most frequently because of neglect and improper guardianship of the children. Of the 2,106 chil dren cared for last year, 51?. had been severely neglected by their parents. Among those most In need of help and understanding were the Illegitimately pregnant girls under age of 18 years, the Bur eau reported. In such cases, it was necessary to plan for two children the baby and the mother. Bureau workers make a strong plea for state licensing of agencies that place children for adoption. They point out that every human being who per forms any personal service for a child is licensed "but any one may give him away as a baby." Tnveitnr Syndicate, now In It. B2nd year. RAINFALL HELPS CONTROL OF FIRE Aided by a quarter-Inch of rain which fell in the area last night, fighters this morning have controlled the Anderson Creek forest fire according to the state forest patrol. The blaze covered about 300 acres. Crews succeeded in getting a line around the fire yesterday afternoon but lost control when a brisk evening wind fanned it across the entire northeast side of the line. The patrol staled that the army crews were releas ed this morning, following the rain, but that the regular forest service crews and CPS crews from the consccntious objectors camp at Elkton were remaining today for mopping up opera tions. Officials of the state forest patrol are investigating the cause of the blaze, which they believe to have been incendiary. Court Records Justice Court Leslie L. Brides of Future To Get Something New in Bouquets Bloomington, Ill.(U.R) Brides of the near future can expect something new in the way of: bouquets and floral arrange ments for weddings, according to Horace J. Head. Head is a flower stylist for the Florists Telegraph Delivery Assn. He has been making a tour of every state in the Union and every province of Canada the last 10 months, to give flor ists the latest ideas in flower styling. In a demonstration before a meeting of central Illinois flor ists, Head showed some of the new uses for flowers in wed dings. Among these designs was a hat for the bride fashion ed from a corsage of calla-glads, a bit of black lace and some black ribbon. This hat can be made in about five minutes, "while the lady waits." Another new arrangement Is a bouquet for the bride who carries a prayer-book or Bible. A cross of small pink roses is fastened to the satin cover of the book. A white ribbon show er tied with lovers' knots and rosebuds finishes the design. Police Court B. W. Baker, Mrs. R. L. Bcnttv, G. W. Pliettyplare and Mrs. Dale Farncrook, ovcrparkmg, $1 bail each.
