Eagle Point Eagle Point, Aug. 8 Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Simmons, of Medford, but recently of Phoenix, Arizo na, recently bought the old Lewis store building here, and are remodeling it into a seven room dwelling. Mr. Simmons is a carpenter and is employed on the local school building at present. Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Marrilees, recently of Richland, Oregon, Hanford district, where Mr. Merrrilees was employed in connection with the making of the atomic bombs, arrived in Eagle Point Monday evening. They expect to remain in this locality if they can find the place they want. They lived here when Camp White was un der construction, where Mr. Merrilees was employed. Former neighbors here of Mr. i and Mrs. Fred Newland and son Jimmie are glad to welcome them back after several months visiting in the east and in Los Angeles. They have rented the Lusk place here and expect to remain for the winter at least. Mrs. C. H. Davis returned to her home in Riddle, Oregon, last Sunday after a few days vfslt with Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Hender son here. Mrs. Orvil Henderson recently received word that her grand son, T-Sgt. Wm. H.
