Klassen Promoted Francis R. Klassen, son of Mrs. Ada Klas sen of 626 Park Place, has been promoted to staff sergeant, ac cording to an official notice from his headquarters at Camp Rob erts, Calif. Making Home Here A recent arrival in Medford with her small son, Ricky, was Mrs. Charles L. Main of Hollywood, who plans to make her home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Buckles, 424 S. Newtown street. Mrs. Main's husband has been inducted into the armed forces, and is now stationed at Camp Roberts, Calif., for basic training. Leave For Utah Mr. and Mrs. Jep Oaks and daughter, Niela, and Mr. Oaks' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Oaks, of Vernal, Utah, left Friday for the latter's home after a two weeks' visit at the home of Mrs. Niel Frank lin, 747 West Jackson street. Jep Oaks was recently dis charged from the army and his wife and daughter have been making their home with the Franklins. Westcott, who arrived at Staten Island, N. Y.,. on the Santa Rosa, a "purple heart shio." is exDected home soon on a thirty-day furlough. He has received the purple heart and cluster and expert Infantry badge. McElhoie Promoted Richard A. McElhose has been promoted from second lieutenant to the rank of first lieutenant, accord ing to word received here. A Medford high graduate with the class of 1943, McElhose has been overseas since February, and is stationed on Guam as bombar dier with a B-29 air force group. His father, R. E. Williamson in Portland, and other friends in Seattle. At Camp Campbell 1st Lt. Russell S. Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert N. Jones, who trans ferred to Camp Atterbury, Ind., last March from Camp Campbell, Ky., has recently returned to the latter place as chief of labor atory at the station hospital. In Medford Lt.
