Several distinguished members of the Order were present to aid in the festivities. Among them were L. M. Lay, Bend, who was the main speaker; M. L. Shep pard, Klamath Falls; A. C. Lucas, state conductor, Medford; Jack Henry, district director, Klam ath Falls; Sherman Dahl, Grants Pass, and Lester Smead, Lake view. A class of 87 members was initiated by a degree team com posed of J. A. Baker, Jack Henry, Paul Robertson, John Brown, Boyd Wilson, Bernard Hood and D. E. Rogers. L. M. Lay gave the obligation, Lester Smead gave the equality, Fred Johnson, Medford, gave the ode and S. O. White, Medford, the death scene. Those who participated In burning the mortgage were Worthy President Shannon White, Past Worthy President Paul Robertson and Past Worthy President G. T. Fish are being taken in most parts of the river, he said. Ex cellent fishing is reported above McCloud where water is clear. Spinners and eggs are used on runs and holes, while some anglers have reported good catches with flies on the riffles. Shore fishing has been good with best spinner being a 50-50 size I four or five. I Bait fishing at Diamond ' Lake li fair and li still hold I ing up good on troll. Best re sults have been reported with either a big flasher with -worms or a flasher with a bone fish or claw lure attached. Some Andy Reekers are also getting fish. Angling is spotty at Fish Lake but fair catches are reported on flashers and worms. Roads are dried out but are rough the last six miles. Bass are biting at Hyatt Lake and catfish are caught from shore. Roads are now re ported passable, according to Piche. Emigrant Lake is good at the' upper end for catfish with many rainbow also being taken. Occassional!? a big bass is hooked with trolling producing more results than shore fishing. All smaller streams are a choice to the angler with water conditions good. Bear Creek has yielded good catches on worms while the Klamath river, west of Keno, has been excellent on rain bows up to five pounds. Best results are on (lies. Us Mall Tribune Want Ada. OBITUARY Henry Hoist, resident of Jack son county for 56 years, passed away Thursday at his home in Sams Valley. Mr. Hoist was 92 years of age. Mr. Hoist leaves to mourn his passing, one daughter, Mrs. Alina Schulz, of Sams Valley and one son, John D. Hoist, Roseburg. He also leaves eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Perl Funeral Home Mon day at 2 p.m. The Rev. Harry Young of St. Peters Lutheran church will, officiate and inter ment will be in Sams Valley cemetery. IDA MAY BLITON Services fro Mrs. Ida May Bliton, who passed away Thurs day In Yreka, will be held in the Conger-Morris chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Revi Louis C. Kirby officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery be side her husband, the late Albert S. Bliton, who was editor of Medford's pioneer newspaper, the Medford Mail. She was born In Jackson Co., Iowa, Dec. 29, 1871, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J W. Redden. She came to Medford with her parents on May 20. 1885, from Guide Rock, Neb., and graduated from the first higfi school organized in Med ford. In 1908 she was united in marriage to Albert S. Bliton. who passed away in 1940. She was a charter member of the First Methodist church and was a devoted worker in the church throughout her entire life. She was also a member of the Daugh ters of Union Veterans. Loved by all who knew her, she leaves a host of friends and three chil dren, Albert H. Bliton, Portland, Mrs. Loraine Thomas, Medford, and Mrs. Mildred Dodge, Yreka, Cal. There are also two brothers and three sisters: Mrs. Minnie Wolfe, Lincoln, Neb.; Mrs. Cora Carder and F. E. Redden, Med ford; E. Redden, Del Ray, Calif., and Mrs. Nola Pettegrew, Portland. LEORA E. JONES Leora Elmina Jones, known to her many friends as "Ora". passed away at a local hospital Thursday. Mrs. Jones was born at Ashland on July 30, 1872. She was united in marriage to William Henry Jones Feb, 2, 1899, at Jacksonville, in the old hotel. Mrs. Jones spent 40 years in Canada, and for the past four years had made her home with her sister, Mrs. Myrtle Roadar mel, at Eagle Point. Besides Mrs. Roadarmel, she leaves one son, Henry Jones, a staff sergeant in the army, two brothers, George W. Daley, of Eagle Point, and Irvin Daley of Medford. Funeral services will be con ducted from the Perl Funeral Home on Tuesday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. D. E. Millard officiat ing. Interment will take place in Central Point cemetery.
