BIX MEDFOHD MAIL TRIBUNE Your Pbalth and It's Care Br OR. WILLIAM BRADY M.D. Reader! hould eddress inquirlei loi Dr William Brady. 265 CI Camino Beverly Hills. Calif. CHASING My wife is pregnant for the first time at the age of 40 (writes a Saskatchewan reader.) I engaged one of the leading local physl clans, but she didn't seem sat isfied, as she t h o u g h t she should be big ger by now and she imag ined the baby didn't move enough. So I took her to an- Dr. Brady other doctor for a double check. He exam insd her and said everything was normal so far as her size and movement of the baby were con cerned but 'that she had high blood pressure and a trace of albumen in urine. He said he was surprised the other doctor hadn't Dut her on a diet. He told her she should eat no meat, no eggs. On the next visit to the first doctor, I asked him if meat causes high blood pressure, and he answered that this was a com mjn but erroneous belief. He again assured us that everything is normal. My wife is now in the seventh monthl What would you suggest, Dr. Brady. (H. M. C.) The first doctor was right about it. Of course meat does not cause high blood pressure. He was right, too, in NOT put ting your wife on a diet, at least in not advising her to eat no meat, no eggs. The quaint old character who gave your wife that advice may be a huge suc cess in putting himself over on the community but I'd hate to have any member of my family under his care. There is no good reason why one with high blood pressure and albumen and casts in the urine or even a well developed chronic nephritis (chronic Bright'! dis ease) should not eat a reasonable amount of meat, eggs, fowl, cheese, milk, fish. In fact the notion that meat, particularly "red" or dark meat (lean beef) Is in some way unsuitable for 'Simple pHee need netwrtck end tenure rem with maddening Itch, burn and Irritatioa. . Although the correspondent does not mention It, the fact that his wife is 40 probably worries her too. That's a favorite theme for the popular song, popular with the old women of the neighborhood anyway, "The Ex pectancy Blues." It would do the poor girl no harm, may even give her a bit of confidence and good cheer, to read the chapter Her First at Forty In the book let "Preparing for Maternity," and her husband too. After all, this baby business Is a 50-50 part nership from the moment the contracting partners say "I do' until the sleeping partner, the little stranger they have dream ed about, says "Well, so long, Mom and Dad it's been nice knowing you." Expectant fathers who feel at all different about this business may get off to a, good start by sending 10 cents and stamped self addressed envelope for "Pre paring for Maternity." Hitler's Children Object of Search In Occupied Reich London, June 12 (U.R) An unconfirmed Stockholm dispatch said today that two children a boy and a girl were born to Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun dur ing their long illicit love affair. Hitler's 11th hour marriage to Eva just before Berlin fell was undertaken to legitimatize the children, the dispatch said. The marriage first was reported by Marshal Greogory K. Zhukov, Soviet conquerer of Berlin, last Saturday. The Stockholm dispatch, which appeared in the London Dally Express, said the children, the boy now five years old and the girl four, were the object of a widespread search by Amer ican and British occupation forces. It was hard sledding for several years both for S. S. Montgomery and his agent who managed the project, but at last success has been achieved and some 25 estimable families are making his dream come true. Blackwell Hill has become a successful community with sev eral places of business. A year ago the store and camp ground which Mr. and Mrs. Paul Peterson, now of Rogue River, had just sold to the Robinsons, burned and is just now being built up again. A new building, a credit to the community, is be ing completed by Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dalton and will be open for business soon with Texaco gas, groceries and cabins. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Jenks have lately purchased Geo. Hafts house and 40-acres for Mrs. Jenk's mother, also tract No. 15 for their sons Beverly and Wilber Jenks of Long Beach, Calif. Mr. Sleeth sold his 10 acres recently to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew W. Laricks, who will have a home and business here. Mrs. Elsie Cameron has im proved her house and grounds by installing a new well, electric pump and building an addition where she will have a beauty shop. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Barto who formerly lived in Medford for several years have bought a home on N. Riverside there but Mrs. Barto expects to continue in the real estate business on Blackwell Hill where she has been established since 1937. New people on the Hill are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Blythe, on "No. 17"; Mrs. Dora Chastain, on No. 20." Mr. and Mrs Barney Davis purchased the home owned by Mrs. Andy Bergo who moved to Austin, Tex. Mr. and Mrs, Davis are also making improvements as are the Blythes and her moth er, Mrs. Chastain, with new houses. Mr. and Mrs. Chet Ray are working in California but will return later. Mrs. Ray s mother and neice are living on their place. The Ellisons raise and sell pure bred Scottle dogs. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kelley are building a new barn and making other improvements on "3 and 4," as is William Voss on No. 18.
