LOCAL and dard, postmistress from Butte f ails, is in iueaiuia luaay business. Lay Horn Sgt. Roy Lay ar rived in Medford yesterday from the air base at Santa Ana, Calif. and is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lay, 245 South Central avenue. Lay is here on 19-day leave. Mother Visiting Mrs. E. L. McCoy of Portland is in Medford visiting at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. w. E. Lantis, 723 Palm street. Mrs. McCoy plans to re turn at the end of the week. In Navy Glen Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Williams of Eagle Point, has been sent to a naval training station at San Diego after passing his physical examination in Portland May 9. Williams is a graduate of Eagle Point high school this term, where he was outstanding in ath letics, president of the senior class and a staff member of the school paper. Captain Visits Capt. R. T. (Ted) Lindley; former Medford high school student and well- known ball player here, visited his brother, Lyle Lindley, in Phoenix over the week-end. Capt. Lindley, who is instructor in B-25's at Waco, Tex., flew here and left yesterday to return to his base. Roy Lindley, New port, father of the two men, also was here over the week-end. Pot ter, 60 Ross Court, returned to her home in Medford Friday from Summit, New Jersey, where she has been with her hus band, Lt. Potter. The officer is now stationed at Ft. Richard Keith Schulz with the Marine Air Force as an electrical me chanic is home for 14-day fur lough from Eagle Mt. Lake, Tex., visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Schulz, 654- South Holly street. Pfc. Schulz is a Medford high school graduate and played in the band. The Infant has been named James, Jr. POST NOMINATES Medford Post No. IS, Ameri can Legion, will hold a regular semi-monthly meeting Wednes day night at 8 p. m. at the club rooms in the armory. Harry Young, commander, stated that this is the 'last meet ing prior to election and urged all members to attend, if pos sible. Nomination of officers for the coming year will close at this meeting. It is therefore im portant that they all be in at this time. A Dutch lunch will be served after the meeting. All visiting Legionnaires and service men are invited to attend.
