Dow, co-pilot of a bomber and based at an English field, has been awarded an oak leaf cluster to the air medal according to information received here by friends. Lt. Doenitz's action ended nearly six years of what probably was the most destructive sea offen sive ever waged. Local Sergeants Hold Reunion In Burma War Zone Sgt. Roger Headlee, husband of Jane Headlee of Central Point, and S'Sgt. Jack Thompson, son of Mrs. Orin Schenck, 29 Sum mit avenue, recently met in Burma, according to word re ceived here by Mrs. Headlee. Sgt. Headlee, who is an avia tion engineer, discovered they were only 30 or 40 miles apart. Sgt. Headlee wrote that his out fit had been getting grease from Thompson's company for some time, but learned only recently that Thompson was one of the men who had been furnishing grease to his planes. Sgt Headlee has been In In dia and Burma for 13 months, while SSgt. Thompson has been in Burma about two years.
