Many people are greatly
pleased upon hearing a Latin
name for their physical ailment.
The came ailment may remit
from different primary causes.
It is not the ailment that is to be
treated. It is the individual pa

The condition that has allowed
the ailment to manifest must be
eradicated. Every doctor knows
what ought to be done. But quite .
an authority has said: "Will he

and Insist on its removal? Dis-;
ease from any cause is increased '

London, May 7 (U.R) Fue
hrer Grand Admiral Karl Doe
nitz today ordered Germany's
U-boat fleet, most potent weapon
left the shattered reich. to cease
hostilities and return to port.
The order, revealed by the
German-controlled Flensburg ra
dio, said continuation of subma
rine warfare was impossible
from the bases that remained in
German hands in Norway and
France.
Upwards of 400-German sub
marines probably were immobil
ized by the order. Between 200
and 300 were based in Norway
and the remainder likely In the
isolated French ports of Lorlent,
St. Nazaire and La Rochelle.
Doenitz's action ended nearly
six years of what probably was
the most destructive sea offen
sive ever waged.
