My purpose In commenting upon the poor spelling, punctua tion and form of letters 1 have received from graduate or regis tered nurses is to show that after all, more than two years of high school work does not nec essarily make a young woman fitter to study nursing than is a girl who has had only one or two years of high school educa tion. I'd selerJl the 17 or 18 or 20 year old girl who could write a good letter, In preference to the college girl who couldn't, no matter how little high school work the girl may have had, as a girl fit to study nursing.
