Back from Visit Mrs. Harry Dally and Mrs. Hendrlckson ar rived home ' Thursday after a short visit in Oceanside, Calif., with Mrs. Daily's son, Cornelius Hendrlckson, PhM 1e, .who is stationed with the navy there, ' Discharged Dale R. Hatch. Rogue River, was discharged March 7 at the 1st Separation Company M.C.B., San Diego. Hatch served overseas 10 months in the Marine Corp, and was wounded while serving In the Marianas. e Worker Burned Jim Pur cell, 1131 Court street, is recovering from first and second degree burns received Wednesday af ternoon while working at the Medford Corporation. He is con fined in Sacred Heart hospital. On Furlough Pfc. Paul Hen drlckson arrived in Medford Tuesday evening , from Camp Robertson, Ark., on a 21-day furlough. Hendrlckson is visit ing his wife, Nona, and her mother, Mrs. Harry Daily, at 400 North Ivy street. e Son Born Cpl. and Mrs. Max well S. Marvin are the parents of a son, Roy Wayne, born March 5 at Mineral Wells, Tex. Cpl. Marvin Is stationed at Camp Wolters with the Infantry. Mrs. Marvin, formerly Wilma Nutter of Ashland, was on the faculty of Central Point high school last year. Marina Home Sgt. J. C. Wilson is now in Medford on a 30-day leave after 41 months overseas duty with the Marine corp. Sgt. Wilson is visiting his wife, Betty, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Lawrence at 1009 West Main street. Wilson will report back to the Oak Knoll hospital, Oakland. . e . Commissioned Charles W Lawrence of Medford completed pilot's training at Stockton Field, Calif.; recently, was given his silver wings and commissioned a second lieutenant, a release from the field states. The offi cer's wife was in Stockton for the ceremonies and the two then returned to Medford and are at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lawrence, 1422 Eu clid avenue. Lt. Lawrence will leave the latter part of next week for Kingman, Ariz., where he will receive further training. We're Complying .with the ation-Wide Midnite Curfew Lt. Lawrence has been in the army since January of 1940 and served In Alaska for two and one-half years before transfer ring to the air corps for pilot's training. In Medford Lt. Thomas P. Davidson and sister, Savella Da vidson, Y 2'c, are home this week visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Davidson, 1139 West Bth street. Lt. Davidson is home for 21 days after serving with the 7th Air Force in the Pacific for the past year. He .will report to Santa Ana at the ex piration of his furlough, miss Davidson Is on a ten day emer gency leave to be with her broth er and will leave Wednesday for Corpus Christi, Tex. She has been in the WAVES about one year. OBITUARY ELIZABETH P. ROWDEN Funeral, services for Elizabeth P. Rowden were held in Port land Wednesday at the Holman chapel with interment at Lin coln Memorial Park cemetery. Mrs. Rowden passed away Mon day. Survivors include a daugh ter, Mrs. Irene Hascom of Grants Pass, a son, John Rowden of the United States army, and Bert, Ralph and Winnie Rowden, all of Murphy. MRS. CLAUDE MANKE Mrs. Claude Manke, Route 1, died yesterday In a San Francis co hospital where she had been under treatment for the past several weeks. The body is be ing sent to the Conger-Morris funeral home here and an nouncement of funeral arrange ments and a complete obituary will be published later. Mr. Manke, on leave from the navy during his wife's illness, is expected to arrive in Med ford tonight. - VIVIAN BEACH . Services for Vivian Beach, who passed away Wednesday at his home in Jacksonville, will be held in Conger-Morris Chapel at 2:30 p. m. Monday with the Rev. Lawrence Mitchel more officiating. Interment will be in Jacksonville ceme tery. , W. M. LING Services for Wm. H. Ling, 69, Applegate, who passed away suddenly Wednesday in Med ford, will be hed in Conger Morris chapel at 9 a. m. Monday with interment in Jacksonville cemetery. He is survived by a daugh ter, Mrs. E. H. Page, Portland; a son, W. H. Ling, Jr., with the Coast Guard, and a brother, Ed ward H. Ling, Applegate.
