The sergeant, who went overseas in January of 1943, suffered hit first wound during the battle of Flntchaven on New Guinea on Sept. 25 of that year. The sergeant bat alternated between regular duty with the engineers and special duty at an entertainer and to plan enter tainments. Before entering the service he enjoyed a wide repu tation in tne vauey xor nit anil ity as a magician and made many appearances. At present he is on special entertainers' duty. Sgt. Eads' wife and email daughter reside at 719 West Sec ond street. The daughter, about 18 months old, was born after the sergeant left for South Pa cific duty and has never seen her father.
