Mr. Tomlin is the former head of the Timber Products Co, here, moving to Los Angeles about four years ago. To Salem-Mayor Clarence A. Meeker and Frank Farrell, city attorney, left last night for Salem where they will attend a meeting of the League of Oregon Cities and sessions of the Oregon state legislature. Farrell will return Wednesday while Mayor Meeker plans to remain for the entire week. Receive Permits Building permits were issued today by the city superintendent to Anna Lindley, 808 North Riverside avenue, to build a garage exten sion at an estimated $100 cost, and to J, C. To Grapts Pass Mrs. Robert Young is visiting in Grants Pass as the houseguest of Shirlee and Linda Anderson who are well known in Medford. Mrs, Young formerly Ruth Nordwlck, is the daughter of Mr. H. F. Nerd- wick of 819 Reddy street. Her husband Is a marine flier sta tioned somewhere in the Euro pean theater of operations, Traffic Accident An accident report was filed today by R. L, was involved earlier in a minor collision with a pickup truck owned by the Rogue River Orch ards at the West 11th and Peach streets intersections. Driver of the truck was not immediately known according to the report, but damage was reported as minor. Couple To Leave First Li and Mrs. Larry Schads, Jr., will leave Medford Thursday for Salem where they will visit with Mrs. Schade's mother, Mrs. Syl via Shreve. Later they will go to Santa Monica, Calif., where Lt. Schade will report for re assignment. Lt. Schade, AAF pilot, recently returned to this country after nearly a year's service in the South Pacific end for the past several days has been at the home of his parents. Mrs Fagone, the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. E. A. Smedley, resides with her family at 850 Pine street Fagone had been wounded In November and was awarded the purple heart but returned to active duty a month ago his wife said, Leonard Smedley, boatswain mate 2c, is on sea duty somewhere in the Pacific He entered the navy Dec. 1041 and was last home in Octo ber, 1843.
