Whole blood from volunteer donors is now regularly reach ing the Philippines fighting fronts by the combined efforts of the naval air transport serv ice, the troop carrier command, a joint army-marine transport organization, and the army's air transport command. Navy doctors say that the availability ot whole blood in sizeable quantities will result in a reduction of fatalities and have asked for a tripling of the present shipments to the advanc ed blood bank faculty at cuam. To meet increased require ments, the Red Cross donor cen ters were asked by the navy to obtain more volunteer donors. Bigelow made this prediction today, and said it was based on a survey of the 7,400 internees at the Minidoka relocation cen ter at Hunt, Idaho, which reveals that less than half ot the cen ter's residents wish to return to their former Pacific coast homes, and only 10 per cent of those will return in the next six months. This latest statement on the situation came today after re ceipt of wire urging reconsid eration of plans to relocate Ja panese In their former homes was announced by Gov. Earl Snell of Oregon. The wire was sent by Clifford G. Schneider, city attorney of Gresham "In behalf of eastern Multnomah and Clackamas county citizens." Schneider is connected with a group known as Oregon-Antl-Ja-panese. The Hood River American Le gion post placed advertisements in the Hood River papers urging former Japanese residents of Hood River not to return to Hood River county.
