It is as plain as the rouge Dt Brdf on a lady's lips "a saturated solution of magnesium sulfate (Epsom sans; in elixir of lactatcd pepsin with Elvcerin. mixed in the propor tion of three fluidounces of the solution with one fluidounce of glycerin". In other words you (or your druggist) dissolve in three fluid- ounces of the liquid universally called elixir of lactated pepsin all the Epsom salts that will dls sove in it, and add to it, if you can get it, an ounce of glycerin (about two tablespoonsful). I wish people who try to get the formula and find glycerin not available would try out the substitution suggested simply a saturated solution of Epsom salts in four fluidounces of elixir of lactated pepsin (which contains some glycerin anyway) Just as the booklet directs for the formula as there given, and report their experience, for the benefit of other sufferers from chronic cholecystitis (gall-bladder trouble).
