The bride wore a soldier blue suit with navy blue accessories and her corsage was of orchids, tier only attendant, Miss Zola enton, wore a dark brown crepe dress trimmed with gold and brown accessories. The Rev. Miles Brownrigg of the Phoenix Christian church per formed the ceremony. The wedding ceremony was part of a Thanksgiving celebra tion planned by Mrs. McClain for her" brothers, sisters, their families and other relatives and the traditional dinner was served. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Ellc Oliver and son, Joe; Mr. and Mrs. Harl White and three children, Prospect; Mrs. Mattie Reed and small grand daughter, Bonnie, Grants Pass; Miss Shirley Gibbons, Prospect; Mrs. Lettie Stansby, Medford; the newly married couple and Mr. Oliver's daughter, Roberta and son, Abe. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver will re side on Mr.. Oliver's farm at Trail Creek. Mrs. Oliver came here recently from Portland and Mr. Oliver has made his home at Trail Creek for many, years. Daughters of the Nile, will be honored at the stated session of the temple to be held December 9 in Grants Pass. TJie meeting will begin at two o'clock and will be followed by a program. STORE Ashland Student Engaged To Wed Army Lieutenant - Ashland Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Frideger of Ashland . have an nounced the engagement of their daughter, Jean, to Lt. John Wil liam MacKenzie, United States army. The lieutenant is the son of Mrs. Amelia MacKenzie of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Miss Frideger was graduated from the University of Oregon and is now studying for her mas ter's degree at New York uni versity. Lt. MacKenzie attended Marquette university in Milwau kee. No wedding plans have been made since the officer is station ed in the South Pacific with th 96th Infantry Division. Farewell Party Honors Kenyons Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Ander son entertained last Saturday evening at a buffet supper in compliment to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kenyon. The Kenyons are leaving soon for Ft. Lewis, Wash., where Mr. Kenyon has accepted a position as chief of civilian training.
