' i Minor' Accidents Mrs. Nellie Schow, Route 4, driving a pas senger car, and Cecil Heard, driving a pickup truck, were involved in a minor accident Tuesday on the Crater Lake highway, acoording to a report on file. R. C. Baker, 1133 West Ninth street, and C. J. Haas drove passenger cars involved in a slight collision Monday on East Third street, according to a second report. . Leaves for Long Beach Mrs. Virginia Sherwood left last night for Long Beach, Cal., where r she will reside In the future. Mrs. Sherwood has been making her home at the Ge Bauer apartments. Mrs. Sher wood's older daughter, Elaine, will make her home in the south with her mother while the younger daughter, Donna, is remaining in Medford with rel atives. Nile to Meet Ladles of the Nile will hold a pot luck lunch eon at the home of Mrs C. E. Kunz, 1038 West Eleventh street, at 12 noon tomorrow and following luncheon will sew for the Shrine hospital in Portland. Those attending are asked to bring a luncheon dish and their thimbles and needles. It is also stated that coetributions for the Thanksgiving treat for children in the hospital are to be left at William Young's Auto Service, 116 North Front street, either Thursday or Friday since the boxes are to be taken to Port land Saturday of this week by the Pierce Auto Freight. STEALS CORONER'S TOOLS Kansas City, Mo. (U.R) Police here are wondering what kind of a thief stole a 24-inch black autopsy bag from the car of a deputy coroner. A number of cases were deferred from the opening session to en able assembling of new evidence and further Investigations before closing the cases, one way or the other. At the opening session, Fred A. Bailey, San Quentin prison camp escapee, was indicted for first degree murder. Bailey was charged with inflicting head wounds during a robbery attempt last September 3, that proved fatal to Ira Clyde Carman. Bail ley, held in the county jail, is scheduled to go on trial Novem ber 23. He is represented by At torney Rawles Moore named by the court.
