Best Cocker Spaniel Swanee Sue, black cocker spaniel female belonging to Mrs. Charles R. k Green, 611 South Riverside ave ' nue, was Judged the best black ' cocker female in the Seattle dog show yesterday. This award gives Swance Sue seven points toward her championship rating. Fifteen points are necessary. . On Special Edition Miss Joan Elliott, daughter of Mrs. Marguerite Elliott, GeBauer , apartments, and Dr. Bert R. El liott, route 2, was one of t h e students at the University of Oregon who helped get out the servicemen's edition of the Ore gon Daily Emerald, campus newspaper. The paper, contain ing a summary of all fall term news, will be mailed November 11 to University of Oregon men stationed in the United States. . City Court Francis Marlon Thompson, . 222 South Central avenue, was finel $50 and sen tenced to twenty-five days in the city jail, today, for driving a car while intoxicated. Leon Byron Smith, 45, was given five days in Jail for being drunk on the public street. Orville Clar ence Hale, 41; Thomas Francis Conlin, 49, and George Kerr were all fined $10 for being drunk on the public street. Ed win Countryman, 32, appre hended on the same charge, was released on bail.
