Resumes Studies Dick Al ford will leave Thursday night for Carroll College, Helena, Mont., where he will resume his studies in the Navy V-12 course. He has been visiting a week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Alford, 517 West 10th. . On Leave Seaman Elmer Bashaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Ba?haw of Rt. 1, left Med ford recently after spending a short leave with bis parents. Bashaw graduated from Med ford High school and attended the Universil,- of Oregon before entering the service. On Leave Seaman Jack Cate, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Cate, formerly of Jacksonville Star Rt., arrived in Medford re cently to visit friends. His par ents have moved to Tucson, Ariz. Cate attended Medford High school before entering the service. ' On Furlough SSgt. Alvin L. Tilton from Camp Berkeley, Tex., is visiting his mother, Mrs. Ethel Tilton, 225 Talent court. Ha will leave in a few days for his camp where he will be as signed for overseas duty. S'Sgt. Tilton is attached to the 72nd medical training batallion. In England Lt. John Sauls berry arrived in England Oct. 21, according to Information re ceived by his mother, Mrs. Lulu Saulsberry, Jacksonville. Lt. Saulsberry is a bombardier in the army air corps. . The officer received his final training at Lincoln, Neb., and Rapid City, S. D, Lieutenant Hera Second Lt. Cloyd Porter is in the county to visit mi parents. Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Cummings of Jack sonville. Lt. Porter, formerly stationed at Thunderblrd Field, Ariz., as an instructor has now been transferred to Roswell, N. W., where he will train as pilot of B-17s. Lt. Porter was employed at the Mail Tribune before going into the air corps. To Discuss. Dam Eagle Point area residents were reminded to day that F. C. Hart, engineer of the bureau of reclamation, will discuss the proposed dam on the upper Rogue River at a meeting to be held in Eagle Point Friday, Nov. 3, at 2 p. m. at the Grange hall.
