Cloyd Porter is in the county

Mrs. R. C. Cummings of Jack
sonville. Lt. Porter, formerly
stationed at Thunderblrd Field,
Ariz., as an instructor has now
been transferred to Roswell,
N. W., where he will train as
pilot of B-17s. Lt. Porter was
employed at the Mail Tribune
before going into the air corps.

area residents were reminded to
day that F. C. Hart, engineer of
the bureau of reclamation, will
discuss the proposed dam on the
upper Rogue River at a meeting
to be held in Eagle Point Friday,
Nov. 3, at 2 p. m. at the Grange
hall. The meeting, open to any
one interested, was called hi tha
board of directors of the Eagle
Point Irrigation district In order
