In Portland she was a guest of her son-in-law and daughter. Capt. and Mrs. Elwin P. Jones and in Vancouver visited her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Jenkins. No Salmon William Berrian, foreman at the Fall Creek Hatchery at Copeo, Calif., has informed the Mail Tribune that all the spawned salmon this year will be used at the hatchery for fish food. In the past, Mr. Berrian stated. many Jackson county residents have come to the egg collecting station for the spawned salmon. Promoted H. Glenn Arnold. Sic, has been promoted to cox swain, according to information received by relatives. Coxswain Arnold has been in the navy for nearly three years, enlisting the day after Pearl Harbor, and has been in several major battles. He was last home on leave in January. Arnold is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Arnold of Beall Lane. Home Marmie E. Olson, warrant officer, Seabees, has arrived in Medford for a 30-day leave. He has been stationed for 13 months In Australia and for four months in the Schon- ten Islands. He is former own er of Olson Electric Company. The new "squares" are light er, shorter and "pour like -a pitcher," said one official. They will increase available space 25 to 100 per cent over the old style standard milk bottle, he added. Production of the square milk bottle, now being made in all standard capacities, followed years of research and study.
